Nonprofit Downtown Oregon City Association sponsors annual fees and covers additional processing fees to maintain the program. Purchase fees may be able to be waived or reduced for large orders. Contact us to learn more.
What payment type(s) are accepted?

In person: Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express, as well as cash. Personal checks are not accepted. Corporate checks may be accepted for larger orders. Cash is accepted at the DOCA office only.
In what amounts can the gift cards be purchased?
The cards can be purchased in any denomination from $10 to $500. Purchases online are restricted to $250 per card in set increments. For other amounts, cards must be purchased by phone or in person.
Where is the gift card accepted?
The gift card is accepted at more than 40 Downtown Oregon City businesses.
Does the gift card ever expire?
No. For the card transaction history, visit www.getmybalance.com or call 1.800.755.0085. Keep in mind the list of eligible downtown businesses may change over time.
Can I place a tip on my Downtown Oregon City Gift Card?
It depends on the merchant. Downtown Oregon City’s gift card is just like any other pre-paid card. When a restaurant or service provider swipes the card, it only authorizes for the initial amount. If you add a tip, it might exceed the card value. Some merchants may request two forms of payment if a tip is customary. For example, if you went to a restaurant and your bill was $40, they may ask that $39 be charged to the gift card and $1 charged to another credit/debit card if you intend to tip by credit card. If you intend to tip by cash they will charge the full bill amount to your gift card as long as there is a sufficient balance.
Why was my card ‘rejected’ at a participating merchant?
Most likely, your purchase exceeded the amount available on the gift card. This can be remedied by asking the merchant to ring in your other form of payment (for the difference) before swiping the gift card.
Can’t you just email it to me?
Downtown Oregon City Gift Cards are physical cards that function similar to debit/credit cards. Merchants must swipe the card through their Point of Sale system in order to process the payment. Gift Cards must be shipped or picked up at our office.
I Tried to Redeem a Card at a Participating Business On the List and it Didn’t Work
If you tried to redeem your card at a participating business and for some reason it didn’t work after other trouble shooting, you can bring a receipt to the DOCA office for redemption. If your card has value on it and you present a valid receipt showing a different form of payment we may be able to issue you a check.
