2017 Snowflake Raffle Business Registration
Downtown Oregon City Association is proud to announce the 4th Annual Snowflake Raffle Sweepstakes. Which celebrates the quality and variety of downtown’s incredible restaurant and retail establishments.
We’ve made a few changes to the promotion format from last year’s promotion:
- Only downtown businesses are eligible to participate. This allows us to focus the marketing energy on Downtown as a destination.
- A concentrated one-week event kicked off by Small Business Saturday rather than a 4-5 week promotion. We believe this will help focus energy on the event and build customer anticipation ahead of Small Business Saturday.
- Downtown Gift Vouchers instead of cash prizes. Vouchers will be redeemable at businesses that participated in the Snowflake Raffle.
- Sweepstakes entries can be submitted electronically or physically.
How It Works
Customers can enter the raffle simply by making a purchase at your store. Customers receive an entry for every purchase made and receive an additional entry for every $25 spent at participating businesses. Entries are good for a chance to win three prizes of $750, $500, and $250 in gift vouchers to spend at Snowflake Raffle participating businesses. Alternatively, there is a mail-in, no purchase necessary option for entry, as required by Oregon state law. There is no maximum of entries that can be earned per transaction per business per day.
Prizes – All tickets entered by the participants throughout the entire promotion will be eligible to win all three prize. The prizes will be drawn live at the Oregon City Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 2nd.
Gift Vouchers – Downtown Oregon City Association will create and award the three prizes in the form of books of $25 gift vouchers. Vouchers can be used at any business that participated in the Snowflake Raffle. The retailer can then redeem the vouchers with DOCA. Redemption instructions will be made available prior to the prizes being awarded.
Example: A customer makes a purchase for $45.00 and presents the retailer with two (2) $25 gift certificates. The retailer treats the gift vouchers as cash and returns the change of $5 to the customer. The retailer then presents the gift certificates to DOCA to redeem for the full value of $50.
Participating businesses must be locally owned and have a Downtown Oregon City location. All consumer-facing businesses are welcome to participate (e.g. salons, restaurants and bars, retailers).
As a participating business, you will receive your name on all promotional materials including promotional posters distributed throughout Downtown Oregon City, point-of-purchase displays, and on the official event website page. Please note that the participation fee helps cover promotional costs.
How to Participate

The first 1,000 tickets are included in your participation fee. There is a $25 fee for every additional 1,000 tickets.
